DecoChrom – Decorative Applications for Self-Organized Molecular Electrochromic Systems

The target of the project was to use electrochromic materials for printing displays and special identification pictograms. COC provided research on the synthesis and upscaling of two polymeric electrochromic materials that change their hue based on a change in potential in the blue/colourless and red/colourless modes. Polymers are in the form of printable dispersions with the possibility of using screen printing, gravure printing and slot die techniques.
