Flexible electrochromic displays and smart windows

Organic polymers capable of changing their colour after a change in potential have been designed (+/ - 1 V) in collaboration with the Fraunhofer Institute in Würzburg (https://www.isc.fraunhofer.de/en/fields-of-activity/materials/electrochromic-systems.html ). Colour changes are possible in colourless/blue and colourless/red. In addition to being used in the field of printed displays, it is possible to use these materials in the field of so-called smart windows, in the field of automotive, aviation, etc. Large-area printed flexible materials are recyclable and made from renewable sources.

We are currently working with HELLA-AUTOTECHNIK-NOVA for automotive applications.
